National Security Guard (NSG)
- NSG and the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) signed an MoU for cooperation and collaboration aimed at strengthening the core competencies of the NSG, which are counter-terrorism, counter-IEDs, and anti-hijacking.
- NSG is a counter-terrorism unit that formally came into existence in 1986 by an act of Parliament ‘National Security Guard Act, 1986’.
- The MoU also aims to contribute to capacity-building and providing assistance to Indian start-ups focused on security by helping them to understand the specific requirements and the problem statements formulated by NSG for design and research projects.
